Toy making supplies?

Im going to make some toys for my birdies and id like to know what toy parts are the most fun and safe, Right now I'm ordering popsicle sticks and finger traps, What string is safe for birds? What do your birds enjoy the most? Any advice is appreciated!

I prefer natural ropes so if they ever get caught in it they can chew through it to free themselves

I use a lot of vegetable tanned leather lacing and poly rope.

Anything listed on Largest Selection of Bird Toy Parts on The Web CA Bird Nerds will be safe for most birds, but of course some birds will try to challenge that! For example, cotton rope is safe for most birds, but some ingest the fibers so for those birds it's not recommended.

I have found leather at local craft stores but I think some of the vendors on here sell them too.
