Toe Nail Trimming

Any suggestions on nail trimming? I have trimmed lots of bird toe nails on our Macaw and Too but they have much larger feet I can get hold of. (The Macaw requires a Dremel tool!) Gilligan (GCC) I normally do with nail clippers on the tip, but he has taken to curling his tiny little feet up into a tight ball making it very hard to get to the nails.

Does anyone have a trick besides brute force to get his toes where I can trim them?

Thanks,
Scott

That's the only way I know of. You're not going to get a budgie to stand there and offer his foot.

We can sometimes do our two GCC's nails if they feel like being cooperative. You just have to be careful with their toes and feet, since they are so small and can break so easily. We take them to a groomer who runs a shop around me if I can't do it.
