Since my little boy Pip passed away, I purchased a parakeet (Petunia, a male yellow bird) from CL. Poor little Petunia was very young and living in a tiny cage. He took to Sky, my other parakeet, right away. Petunia immediately blossomed and became a playful little guy who went from a flighty scared little bird to one who will let me put my hand next to him.
Then a friend found another one outside. I haven't named him yet. He was quarantined at her house and then I kept him separate for an extra week. I introduced them today and again, the change was amazing. He became much more animated after joining his buddies.
Does he look like an older bird? I think he is male? He is the blue parakeet, white face American budgie. I know the pics are hard to see his cere.
