One of my platies is ready to pop! I have a few others that look pregnant but this one is the biggest. I would say by the end of the week, she'll probably have her babies.

Very simple set up, it's a 5 gallon with a heater and a sponge filter. About 80 percent of the time there's nobody in here, I keep it ready for fry. Right now, in addition to the adult there is 1 baby platy. I have java fern (which helps to keep the tank nice) and lots of hiding spaces that babies can fit in but not adults.

Generally, I won't even see the fry after I put them in until they get bigger. They find a hiding spot and they hunker down, hoping they won't get eaten. But they don't need to worry about that here!
