Ok folks, I 'winged it' at tried my own.
The main goal was to get pellets and veggies unbeknownst into her. And she is a super picky gal :bash:

I used what I had on hand. that being said I'll tweak/experiment things on the next batches.

Baked @ 375
1st step

• Goldenfeast Gardenflora Blend (follow their instructions)( Gardenflora Blend, 23oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001TBO7OY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_JQ5PAb3H039EX)
• Added Danita's Avian Organic Organic Feast (Organic Feast)
to boiling water also
While that is cooking, I start the batter

• 1.5 cups Kamut Flour
(Bob's Red Mill Organic Kamut Flour - 20 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004O8I4D4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_eu6PAbXW3AQ00)
• 1 cup ground Alternative Formula Pellets
(Tropican Alternative Formula Granules Parrot Food 4lb https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MYAEXC2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Lw6PAb0XR0DK0)
• 1/2 cup ground Lifetime Formula Pellets
(Tropican 1.8-Pound Lifetime Maintenance Parrot Granules, Standup Air Barrier Zipper Bag https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002DGYAU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_px6PAb2SFNX9K)
• 1 t. Baking soda
• 1/2 t. Baking powder
• 3 eggs (shells optional)
• 3 T. Red Palm oil
(Nutiva Red Palm Oil, 15 fl oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IMQC78C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_3B6PAbH0VY7T5)
• 1/2 cup low sodium V8 (not my favorite ingredient)
• 1/4 vanilla
• 2 cups of the mix from the 1st step
• 1 to 2 T. Organic Honey
• Water or juice to moisten some (I used water)

I used mini muffin pan

Baked 11 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

What I want to try next time/s:
• Sweet potato
• Unsweetened applesauce
• Any kind organic unsweetened juices

My mistakes:
• Should have Ground up the cinnamon sticks 1st from the organic feast. They didn't fit well in the mini cups.
• Use red palm oil to coat the pan (I was low on supplies)

The end result:
Parrot approved :super::loveshower:

Question, is the baking powder & baking soda bad for her?
What would you substitute or do differently?

Haha, you're eating pel-lets! :nanana:

Good job baking birdie bread. My first attempt was not a success; I should try again. I really like your mini muffin idea! Maybe I should borrow your recipe, too. ;)

I'm not sure about the baking soda, and baking powder, but would like to know!

I had no idea parrots could eat honey and vanilla - never thought about it!

I'm not sure about the leavening. I know it's not present in the bird bread mixes I've bought, but I can't recall why.

Your first link is not working for me. I stick to the mixes on Amazon. then I add the healthy items and bake.

I would leave out the baking powder and baking soda as they are primarily sodium. You will get a bit denser bread but I don't think the birds will mind. :)
Congrats on the success! Mine weren't impressed with the sweet potato muffins I made them so I have not been baking birdie bread but should get back to it.
