Thank you for sharing this, Russ!

Pi people, this is one of the must have books. Russ has decades of experience keeping and breeding multiple species of Pionus, and shares his wealth of knowledge in a really accessible and helpful way.

Aw, I just checked and the free shipping is only to US addresses. Anyone know what the shipping to Canada would be approx?

I've got it...Looks like a great book. Not read the whole thing yet. My desire for a Bronzewing has faded.

I have Penny & Rio. Still if a bronze wings flew in I'd be very tempted...

Out of curiosity, I bought the book a few years ago (found it at a yard sale) and read it cover to cover, it was a really great book. I never ended up seeking out a Pionus but, it was a great read.

Glad to see you here. I bought a used copy from Amazon a few years ago and it's a great book with good info and stories. I hope things are well with you and maybe you'll get back into our favorite birds. I have had 4 Maxis in my life so far and they all were great flock mates. I got my first ones in 79, probably wild caught.
