Tea box as play house?

My dad recently bought me a big box of red rose orange pekoe tea. Mimikyu and Guzma seem absolutely infatuated by the box it came in. I set it down, and they immediately perched on it.

After I remove the bags, would it be safe for them to play in/with it? The bags are loose in the box, mind you, so there might be a little residue and smell left over from the tea.

It should be fine, it's just cardboard?

It's just cardboard. The outside does have printing on it, but the inside is completely bare.

This is the exact box. The bottom says it's 100% recyclable, and this has the Rainforest Alliance Certified stamp on it.

The only thing you should watch for is if they start to get nesty with it.

Of course. .v. I got it set up right on the corner of my desk where I can watch them. The last thing I want is for them to fight over the box or one of m girls to lay.
