In the last 2 days, I've dyed 50 large wicker stars, 50 large vine balls, 50 small wicker rings, some loofa slices, and 30-40 pieces of pine. Toy-making, ugly and hideous Frankentoys, is underway.

Simply too ugly for pictures. Besides, the birds are mangling them as we speak. They are monstrous combinations of pine blocks, half coconut shells , phone book sections, cash register rolls, wicker stars, coconut fiber balls, plastic chain, etc. Hideous!

I've offered colored and plain; my birds prefer colored, and I'm the slave, so I color wood. And I enjoy it. It's relaxing to me, which is good. To each their own.

I have several craft carts with multiple shelves for smaller toy parts. For blocks and bigger parts, I've got some clear plastic bins.
