my baby 10 weeks old macaw swallowed oatmeal pellet.

i just fed him as before. Giving him formula at first. Then mashed potato.
and i gave him oatmeal also but i tried to pelletize oatmeal and gave it to him.
First i thought i would chew it but he swallowed it.

i touched his crop and search that oatmeal. i found it. it was and it is still an pellet that i gave him.. What must i do? will it digest itself? :(

Hi, try and relax all should be fine. I'm not familiar with an oatmeal pellet but if it is all food it should dissolve in the crop. I would give him extra water as pellets are very dry.

I'm sure Happy will be fine. Like Gary said, give him some extra fluid.

I agree! he should be fine, but extra water is needed so that the oatmeal does not suck up extra fluid in the crop needed for maceration and cause a blockage. If he does not drink water yet, then make him some formula but make extra watery, not so water that you can not control the flow when you feed thou.
