Sunny arthritis

My budgie Sunny has arthritis. I’m looking for ideas on what I can do for him. I’ve already adjust foods and other stuff. I’m gonna change his cage base layer stuff to a towel. Is there anything I can do for him? I’m gonna look to get him into my vet asap for medication.

I’ve been sick and am facing surgery so need to be able to advice others on what to do.

Offer some flat and wide perch
And ginger has anti inflammatory properties and is safe to feed .

Thank you. Responses from me can take a while. I found there is a lot I’m struggling with mentally. Sunny has some very broad flat perches he can use and I switched him to a softer bedding which is actually sitting on a thicker row of newspaper. It’s kind of scattered so he can still poop where he likes to. The thicker bedding is where he tends to ‘fall’.

Supportive warmth might also b helpful, a place off to one side to perch if wants. I like the sweeter heater
