Hi friends! Our new Nanday Conure 'Tootie' has a vet appointment on Thursday for a check up anyways, but I figured I'd get your input here too.
He seems to have trouble gripping tightly compared to our cockatiel, and I've noticed that he has one tiny stubby back toe on a foot, and now I'm wondering if his toes are different lengths in the front as well? The rescue clipped his toenails, so I wonder if that hurt his ability to grip and climb due to the funny toes. Or maybe I'm overthinking it all. haha Very possible. He also seems to chew his toes often, more often then Tikki does. Again, discomfort from being clipped? Who knows. What do you think? Sorry for the horrible quality pics!
