Standing on one foot?

Hello! I have another question~

What's a give away that a canary broke something? I noticed Peeps started standing on one foot, and his left leg/foot looked like it had more blood flow. He wasn't poofy though. Could it be that he just landed on it funny?

It doesn't look red anymore, but he occasionally looks like he's folding it into his body. Yet he's running and flying around. This little bird is so confusing sometimes! What's happening?

Would it be obvious if he broke something? He's always so energetic and I know small birds like him hide injuries or sickness, so I'm very watchful for sudden changes on him. I should mention that he lands on my stuff hard enough to, for example, push keyboard keys and even cause the ceiling fan to turn slowly.

In the even that I'm only overreacting, I apologize! However, is there anything I should keep a look out for in the future if he does get hurt? :/

These are the best photos I could get of his feet, he kept moving around.

Birds will set on one foot when resting, relaxing or sleeping..I noticed the left foot, which he holds up, is missing a talon..could this be bothering him?

Hello, thank you for replying! He (unfortunately) lost that talon last January from a vet visit, when it got snagged to a towel wrapped around him. He was on one foot for 4-5 days but seemed okay ever since.
