I wonder if it is truly SS. It looks like a slate grey but without the polish or the usual dull shine of a stainless steel cage. The natural lighting should have made that things sparkle like a diamond, glow like the sun, etc.

SS is only shiny when polished. It could be unpolished or matte SS. King's uses matte SS.
