Soon to be new bird Mom!

Hello all!
I have been gathering a lot of information from these forums, which is awesome, so I thought I would introduce myself.

I'm Jessica from good old Canada! I am soon to be adopting a Rainbow Lory from a rescue a few hours away from me. He came from a high kill shelter in Quebec. Moka is very tame and sweet, so I've been told!

I have never owned a bird, but have baby sat a few. I've been researching like crazy before deciding he was the right bird for my family. 2 adults, 9 year old step son and 3 dogs. Luckily Moka is used to dogs!

Any informations or tips are very welcomed.

First, welcome!

Second, you know lory's have liquid poop right? And tend to 'squirt' it out the sides of cages? I'm guessing you know that but I figured it wouldn't hurt to say it again

Rainbow Lory's are gorgeous (in spite of the poop thing)!

I'm so glad you are able to give this Lory a home! They are such beautiful birds, and I have heard they make wonderful companions.

I hope so as Lory poop is not for me. They eat a different diet too...

They are pretty though but you have to be aware of the additional poop shooting!

If you did any research at all you should be aware of it...You said you researched like crazy
