Walking the driveway
Seeing stories like this always make me sad. Even the smallest of animals needs adequate care and affection. When you have the money, your budget goes to your animal first if they need it. Even my betta fish needs adequate care and attention. Even a bug needs the attention and the money spent on them to ensure they're healthy - if they're in captivity, they rely on you. They need you. If you're getting a pet just for show or because it's pretty, don't bother. A pet is another living being, with just as much of a need to live and thrive as you.
