Here is "Peeper", my Scarlet Chested Parakeet, soon after I got him (at between 6 and 9 months). He didn't get his full adult colors until he was nearly 1 year old. Before that, he had some scruffy-looking stages, include a period where he lost his long tail and the ability to fly (he was wing-clipped by the breeder but could fly somewhat when I got him - then he moulted was flightless for a few weeks)
Now he is pretty beautiful and likes to fly very well, all over the place.
His Scarlet Chest has come in nicely too.
