My wild guess would be a Buddhist temple and garden but I could be wrong - just the statues and the beautiful roofs.

That's what I think, too, but wonder about the location in Australia. Sydney since that is Lodah's location??

But many larger cities have ethnic suburbs as well as beautiful temples/churches. My eldest son, James, dated a girl who knew where all the Buddhist temples & gardens were close to Chicago and they'd hang out there and take pictures of the gardens, which were beautiful.

Sao Paulo has a suburb called Liberdade which is a Japanese neighbourhood. Most of the signs are in Japanese. Brazil supposedly has the largest Japanese population outside of Japan itself.

Beautiful photos - everything looks so green and lush. You're going into Spring though aren't you? Some of your photos remind me of Tasmania which I was lucky enough to visit in the early 1980's.

More wonderful photos. Thank you for sharing. Makes me want to go visit our local Buddhist temple. Went there once with a friend and it was a very peaceful and relaxing day. Smaller than the one you visited and not as beautiful.

Its almost its own little world... the peace here is felt by most people who visit! :)
