In Tortola we hopped on a ferry and went over to the smaller island of Virgin Gorda. There we went to what is called The Baths of Virgin Gorda. You walk this trail from up on the hill down to a beach and then you walk a trail through those these HUGE boulders that are stacked all over each other to Devils Beach. It takes about a half an hour to get through all the boulders. Some are the size of large houses. There is water rushing in and out of the rocks and you are climbing up on the big boulders and squeezing through narrow passage ways. It was really a very interesting walk. I could understand why they called it Devils Beach. THe water is crashing on the rocks that surround it and swimming was an experience There was a large group there from the CLub Med2 sailing vessel from France. It was an interesting people watching day too If you stood just in the water when some waves would come in they would knock you down Not forcefull enough to hurt you but it sure made it interesting trying to get out of the water. You had to time you walk out with the waves. So people were falling down all over the place and getting sucked back out into the water. There was a drop off of a few feet just out from the beach and once beyond that swimming wasnt so bad.
