B43744F7-15A2-4842-BCC1-6DC2BD53E598.jpeg took him a few days of exploring and I actually considered taking it out for more space but he decided he liked his hut tonight. Doesn’t like being out of the cage after 5:30 pm. Is that normal? I just let him be. Steps up any other time except then so I cover him by 7 when he finds his comfy spot.

Parrots will often set their own schedule-- they may decide on their own when it's time to return to their cages, or when they want to go to sleep. Nothing unusual about your QP wanting to go back to his cage at 5:30. My QP Ralph almost always returns to his cage by 7:00 PM after being out to play after dinner-- and he's ready for bed by 7:15 most nights.
