Skunk's Summer Cut

Thought I would share a picture of one of my cats, Skunky, who gets a summer cut every year. I found him as a stray when he was about 7 months old. He turned 16 years old this past January.

Thank you ~ His hair is like cotton (& matts so bad) and with him growing older, he doesn't groom himself like he use to. And to top it off, he hates to be brushed. This definitely is the best choice for him & me.

And to think, Matt, this is one of my middle aged ones. My oldest is 19-1/2 years old and my youngest is 14 years old.

Good idea, matted hair is a great place for all sorts of nasties to hidw.

I am glad I am not the one to groom cats though...that can't be pleasant is my guess!

Yes I will. They don't do that good a job sometimes and we'e been helping them learn how to do it nicer but for the price for our two we're satisfied, We have a couple of times done a little touch up afterwards. We kinda hold our breaths when we take them. The first time they shaved Fred's left side whiskers short by mistake but he was fine.

Here's Fred and Ethel's cuts they got today. They cut a little too much off the ankles this time, usually it's fuller there. They did their bodies a lot smoother this time and they're getting better with the their manes so I'm pleased.

Last two are Fred and Ethel before a cut.

Marie, Fred & Ethel are gorgeous! I really like their manes. I wish Skunk had a mane like that ~ Whoever groomed them did a wonderful job!
