Sick pig :(

So my new little guinea pig has been sick since i adopted her we have tried 3 different meds over 1 month so lets hope this last Vet visit was worth it!! (Very pricy $) if not then we have to go to the eye doc at the Specialty center! :0 For now the pigs are seperated and its a pain cleaning 2 cages but i REALLY HOPE this nee medications will help!! And then the pigs can be reunited again lol

No abcess thank God ! And her was stained as well so no scratch or ulcer it appears to just be an infection its day 4 of the meds and the eye seems a little better..we have 6 more days to go of antibiotics and warm compresses! Thank you for all your kind words! And prayers!!

What a relief! I've lived with rabbits--none of which ever suffered an abscess--but I always dreaded the possibility.

It's great its not an abscess. I keep wondering if maybe it was cause by a "hay poke"? I don't know much about piggies but hay pokes are suppose to be pretty common. I really hope the new meds are working well for her And you see even more improvement soon. Get well soon little piggy

That could be the cause. Hay does get "stuck" in piggies other end, in particular, male pigs...
