2 days ago, I’ve noticed that my Cockatiel has her crop swollen and her tail was also down, she was to sitting down on bottom of her cage and was always sleepy.

I went to the vet next day, and said that probably she eated something and got stuck or it could be a infection. They made her vomit. And it seemed to be something she eated. And after the injection, when we got home, she seemed okay and was active. (They also gave me antibiotics to treat her)
Today, there’s still some in her crop but it’s not as swollen. She eated, drink water and walked around the room. But sleeps a lot.

Did anyone else dealed with something like this before? Does it take long to get better?
Any advice?

Maybe the antibiotics make her tired or perhaps sick feeling.

i have had swollen crop on my previous cockatiel. the vet said she had vitamin deficiencies that caused the crop to not function properly, and was given 2 different powders to eat (she despised pellets). this fixed her issue. make sure that her diet provides her everything she needs. although this may not be the case here if the veterinarian has already figured her out, but it is still important, even if it wont fix the problem.

What exactly were the powders?

Did they have you give them both at the same time?

yes, they were very effective and my tiels crop returned normal in days (although she was given a vitamin injection for a boost at the vet, but we never had bloated crop after that)
