She is home!

After a long ride my baby is home!
She celebrated the arrival by taking a bath in her water bowl lol.
Now she's soaking up some sun on what seems to be her favorite perch so far.

Yep! The person I got her from said she loves going to the store. She's also already accustomed to a harness so I can take her out safely!

It's best to introduce the harness early as you can. The moment she started becoming more aware of her surroundings I sent the people weaning her a little black harness. They would pin it to their shirt while feeding her and let her play with it gently. Now she doesn't mind putting it on.
She does fiddle with it quite a bit but with subtle corrections she will learn to leave it be eventually.

She was a dime on the way home!
Sat in her carrier eating millet the whole time. Even bobbed her head to the radio a bit.
You can tell she has been very desensitized to vehicles and strangers. It's almost as if she's fearless. She's tackled everything head on- from meeting us, to being introduced to her new cage.
