Seed & Sprouts Help!

Can sprouted seeds fully replace normal dry seed mix in my bird's daily diet? It seems to me to be perfectly fine; better and healthier even. But I'd still like other people's opinions and knowledge. Thanks so much!

Yes, but slowly. You do not want your birds to not recognize it as a food source and starve. This can, and does, happen.

I feed very little dry seed, but of course my species are different :) Sprouts are great! One thing of course is that they spoil quicker than dry seed which can be left out so day.

My Jardine's was a seed eater when I got him and he took a long time to eat sprouts. I learned that a very short tail was the key! Once they get too long he won't touch them!
