Scopas or Yellow Tang/Hybrid???

Thought this was interesting. Poor thing is super ugly though!


Fish wholesaler solicits sale of what looks like a scopas and yellow tang hybrid.

Scopas and yellows are not my favorite. Give me a purple tang or black!

Weird! I love Scopas tangs! They're probably my favorite of all saltwater fish (yeah I know I love the most dull looking saltwater fish )

Although I do also like clown tangs, but they're much too delicate for me to deal with lol.

I don't see the Scopas in him at all. But Scopas are pretty.

I always liked the tangs but never really wanted them. Well, we ended up with a Kole Tang from the genera Ctenochaetus or bristletooth tangs. Turned out to be the best fish in the tank! He keeps the live rock and everything so clean!

One of the LFS here has a huge reef tank. It's gorgeous! They had a black tang in there and I loved how he looked against the corals and other brightly colored fish. It was just so opposite of what you normally see. Then I unfortunately saw an emaciated mandarin....poor thing. If it was only a female, we would've brought her home!
