Ok, so I just got some SCATT for Perry. I know we have to put the drop on him on the back of his neck (?), but is there a place precisely that I should be putting said drop? Because they rub their heads on their preen gland, I just don't want him to accidently end up with the SCATT on his feathers. Is there anyone here that has had experience using this medicine?

It's an anti parasitic medication and it's used to treat mites

Yes. scatt is an excellent miticide, you want to put it on skin not feathers so I do it on the back of neck but you can do the thigh also.

BE SURE to repeat the does after 21 days. Ifi you don’t new ones might hatch out and you’ll be in the same position as if you hand’t treated at all.

Is there a certain spot on the back of the neck that he can't get to even while rubbing his preen gland? That's what we're really worried about.

The preen gland is down near the tail. Put it nearest the back of his head. His beak won't reach there.
