Saw Type for cutting thin pine?

What kind of saw would be easiest on a budget for cutting about 1/4" wood? I am a complete newbie at this kind of thing, so links are appreciated

I use a band saw. Once your blade is adjusted its like cutting butter. Craftsman is what I have.

Are you talking power tool or hand tool? Just about any kind of hand wood saw will cut through pine that thin.

As mentioned a band saw would be the safest and easiest power tool for you to use.

Safest and easiest are my main requests! Sounds like a bandsaw is the way to go

I use a table saw. It's super quick, but not at all safe. I want to invest in a bandsaw soon.
