they go fast! we wouldn't be able to do this in the summer....the seeds would go rancid in the hot garage.

He’s still trying out various deterrents. The link you posted solves one problem, but they can jump up to the 3 ft high trays. If he raises them to 4 ft, the squirrels won’t be able to get up. He cares about the squirrels.

The only other solution I came across was removing the food every night and replacing in the morning...um what a pain that would be

He already does that at 4 am when he leaves for work. Raccoons show up at 5 am lol
