Thank you, everyone, for sending positive thoughts and prayers his way. I'm really shocked that he got sick. I first noticed last evening that he was taking heavier breaths after flying to me. Once he stopped flying, the breathing quickly went back to normal. He's been eating great and his poops were fine.
Then, while I was at work my son called to say that he was wheezing and struggling to breathe. Fortunately one of my sons who can drive immediately took him over to the avian vets. They gave him oxygen right away.
The vet took some x-rays and said that it could be fungus, or aspargillis. They didn't detect any pneumonia. They are recommending that he remain hospitalized for 3 days to see if he'll turn the corner or not. His prognosis is very guarded.
