Not sure what on earth has happened, but I got home from work and had both scalies on my shoulder and all of a sudden Millow starts vomiting, splattered onto my face and clothes, he kept on doing the action till he obviously had nothing left. He's definitely subdued, he's a fluffy bird anyway but I get the sense he's a bit more fluffed than normal.

Ive mixed up some loritreat for him and put some Quik Gel in there, he lapped it up and doesn't seem to have brought it back up, however he's been dozing on J's shoulder snuggled up next to his neck for the past couple of hours and it is only just bed time for them.
Apart from keeping him warm, not sure what else to do.

I called our emergency vet, there's only a student on who said to bring him in if he goes downhill and booked me in tomorrow at 8am with a vet who has an interest in birds but he isn't our CAV, he's not in till Monday. :(

Poor Millow. :(

Was he bobbing his head up and down or slinging it side to side? Up and down is regurgitation which means he loves you, side to side is vomiting.

Hi Ginger,

There was a bit of bobbing but definitely side to side movement of the head - a shaking/flicking motion. I had to wipe his head down and clean him up as he got it on himself too. It's the same motion that my first scaly was doing before he passed so naturally I am really panicky. He also kept doing it when I put him down on the table to wipe myself down, he was walking around doing it, so it was a nice cleaning session. Because lorikeets have wet food, it was pretty messy. :(

The dozing has me concerned that it's more than regurgitation :( Hoping he perks up, but best to have him examined by the ER vet, and then your A.V. Keep us posted :hug8:

Here's the little man on J, he's definitely just not looking himself and he's making little squeak noises every now and then. I tried to move him earlier and he was reluctant to move which he is usually a little protesting to be taken away from his safe spot, but tonight he's definitely refusing to budge and trying to tuck himself up more.

This will sound really gross,
But does his breath smell sour? Implying a bacterial problem, maybe some of the wet food had spoiled? Or have their been any recalls on any of the batches you have?

Fingers crossed for him,
I hope his stomach just didnt agree with him

No it doesn't sound gross, it is an excellent suggestion.

His symptoms remind me of Cora when she had a yeast infection. I hope Millow feels better soon and it's nothing serious. :hug8:

Prayers coming for your little one. I would definitely keep an eye on him and if he doesn't improve, I would take him in to be seen by a vet. They can get dehydrated very quickly from throwing up. :hug8:
