What kind of a birdie is this?

Riti is Red Fronted Kakariki, they are from New Zealand and are endangered due to habitat lost and rats. They are fairly uncommon as pet, my vets had never had one in until I got Riti. She had a unusual stance like a combination of parrot and finch. and her tail feathers are shorter that most parakeets they the feathers much wider giving her a stocky look. It the photo she was all fluffy and I had a strange angle that made her look fatter than she is. You can do a search online but there's not a whole lot out there.

I went back and read this and decided I really need to put the birds away when typing. I'm not as bad as it seems BUT with 3 or 4 birds fighting on the keyboard it's hard to type.

Riti looks amazing! I think I've mentioned before there's a kakariki at my neighborhood pet store who has been there since before Christmas. She's still there. It's breaking my heart. I just can't take another bird right now--my sweetheart & landlord would throw me out!
Do you know Riti's lifespan? I have heard they are much more short lived than other parrots but I also know so little has been studied about them in captivity...

No I don't as found there is very little out there on them.
