Rhaegar is gone ....

I know this is suppose to be for birds but my Rae is gone and Im at a loss what to do ...Im totally heart broken ..someone opened our gate to our yard on Sat night and let my dogs out ...I found Nymeria within 1/2 an hour but Rae was nowhere to be seen ...I looked for hours on Sat night but nothing ...Nymeria and I went back out early Sun morning for a few hours and still nothing ...someone in our neighborhood said they saw a tan dog in the fields surrounding our town so out I went again for hours and still nothing ...went back out in the evening for another few hours and still nothing ...I have been all over this town and surrounding fields for miles and nothing ...I dont know where he could be ..I have made fliers and put them up all over town and called all the people your suppose to call and Im going to make fliers to put in every ones mail boxes ..I have posted on Kijiji and several lost and found facebook pages in our area ...Im just not sure what else to do ..any help would be wonderful

I am very sorry. Have you called all of the local veterinarians? If he was injured, someone may have taken him to a veterinarian.

If they are chipped a vet would pick that up too. So sorry for what happened, I have two little dogs and know exactly what you are feeling! You've made the flyers, posted on facebook and Kijiji. Just keep driving and looking. I'm guessing you notified the shelters. Hang in there, keep us posted on what's going on.

Yeah I just got done calling all the vets and all the larger towns and city near by ...Im at a huge loss he has never been out without me

Rae is a Pittie/Akita cross Tan with a black mask ..white chest and paws ..he is about 55 lbs ..and is my baby ..I miss him so much ...you always think the worst when these things happen ..specially when I know someone opened our gate and let my dogs out ...why would someone do that ...we have now put padlocks on both our gates ...but what was someone doing letting them out ..what were their intentions ...did they think they could nab him for some awful purpose because he looks Pittbull ...it has been known to happen in the bigger cities why not in a small town ...he would not just go with anyone though ....they would have to actually snare him to take him and I dont remember any barking before I went to look for him ... I just dont know what could have happened to him

Yeah I called and they just told me to phone the bylaw guys which I already did

Try to call the nearby shelters daily, they should let you know if any dogs matching his description have been brought in.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers ..Im going again to look after I get home from work in about 20 mins ..I pray I find him ...I have called all the emerg clinics in Calgary and put him on their lost logs just incase ... I really dont know what else I can do
