Realistically taming 'breeder' bird?

soooo, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section (I've only posted a couple times on here, usually just read other threads) but I was wondering if you could realistically tame a single breeder bird.

There was this one add on kijiji (Canadian craigslist pretty much) and it said these three birds needed to be rehoused. A breeding pair of GCC's, and another single GCC breeder. I'm wondering if the 'single' one is bonded to the rest, or just not? Say if you got just the 'single' one, would it go through the same things as if you separated a breeding pair? And if it isn't bonded to the others, would it ever be a tame bird?

Thanks in advance, and sorry if this is a stupid question.

I have a single breeder bird and even after 5 months, I wouldn't consider him tame. He's still very nervous and untrusting of most things, something that may never change. Whether your guy becomes tame or not, that is something that isn't really in your control. I've only recently accepted that my guy may always be afraid of his own shadow, but I don't love him any less. Some birds prefer to keep humans at a distance, no matter how hard we try to win them over.

My macaw Taco was advertised as a breeder or "project bird" who was supposedly untamed, aggressive, and dangerous.
He's the biggest marshmallow of a bird I've ever met, and we hit it off almost instantaneously. He was never handled or socialised much in his former home, and struck ferociously at his old humans when they transferred him into his carrier when I got him, but with me he's an angel.
I think it comes down largely to individuals, and their experiences. And, as always: patience, patience, patience.

Breeder birds are happiest kept with other birds and not made into single pets. They can still be tamed, at their own pace, that way but shouldn't be expected to become a tame bonded pet.

Yes but you have to realize our timetable and theirs are very different. @Brittany0208 mentioned she’s had hers 5 months, that is no time at all in a bird’s mind.

It could take a few years for it to become calm, or it could quickly bond to you. There ‘s no way to know. But if you develop that relationship it’lll be one of the best you have ever had.

Anything is possible as Monica said. Time and patience are your best and only tools. A reasonable timetable to change things would be a good 2 years (or more).

I have a single breeder bird and even after 5 months, I wouldn't consider him tame.
You're still on the starting line and barely got your feet out of the starting blocks. This is a process that takes years.

Lurch took about 5 years as a mad at the world used parrot to mostly trust me and fully decide I was his chosen one. Every little step forward was a gift from him and the last pics you can see his happy eyes when I'm with him compared to his HUGE, scared to death eyes when he got here.
He would still bite if he felt slighted or just because but he didn't try as fast or hard but he also loved hanging out with me, getting scritches and treats, and would fly after me like a feathered puppy when I left the room. Yes it was all worth it to have a happy grumpy friend who loved me in his own way and would show it with little gestures towards me from time to time.
We wore each other down and I let him come and go as he pleased as long as he wasn't hurting himself or destroying the wrong things.

It’s absolutely possible. I’ve seen it done multiple times. It just takes a lot of commitment and time. Is also easier with younger birds.
