Wow! Nice picture selection. I remember the first time I saw a Vasa. I was at a bird store in NJ, there was a young dark bird on top of a cage, hanging out with a young african grey. I remember thinking how beautiful he was. I went over to talk to him and after a bit, I turned my back to look at some toys. I felt a little weight on my shoulder, so I look back to see the Vasa (unknown to me at the time) climbing up on my shoulder from his cage. He was a sweetie! He did not want to leave me. I ended up doing research later and found out what he was. They are fascinating, beautiful birds. :)
