I finally finished the 4th one for Tiki! She'll need it next month for her vet appointment.

They are really just to get them from the house to the car etc in cold weather. They will be opened in the car so the birds can see.

I'm not the best sewer and there's quite a bit of work involved in quilting, as well as expense. You could never make money doing it.
I figured out, if you made 30 quilt tops with my mom's sewing machine and paid to have them quilted, the cost is over $500 each, not including material (some of which is $20/meter or yard), other supplies like cutters, cutting mats and time. You can't charge $1000 for a quilt and even if you did you would be hundreds of hours in the hole. That's why you mostly see quilts being raffled for charities; they are donated and are labours of love.

I may make a couple more covers for gifts though.

Well I was just winging it on each one so was just trying different things. The last one I rushed to get done in 2 weekends when my mom was away as I had borrowed her machine so didn't have time to shop for zippers etc.
