Hello,

I have a 9 week old male gray IRN - his name is Rama - he is a total love muffin (no bluffing behavior at this point) . . . . I may have to go away for 3 days in late April. My question is - will me being gone for 3 days change my relationship with Rama? Since I got him - he has had "out of cage" time everyday - he free flies in a safe space in my house (and loves getting to do this). If I do go away - he will be stuck in his cage during those 3 days. Thanks in advance!

Ringnecks don't "bluff". The behavior that has been deemed as "bluffing" is in fact a way that birds are trying to communicate with humans. When ignored, it could lead to biting.

Most birds do fine if their human goes away for a while, although there are some who "hold grudges" or will be different once the human is back.
