Question-Self Cleaning ovens

Im aware Self Cleaning ovens emit toxic fumes that kill birds - but are they still harmfull even when used at temperatures below 400

The oven itself is safe, just not when used on the self-cleaning cycle. And if it's a new oven (any oven), it should be heated the first time with the birds out of the house, or closed off in another room with windows open near the oven. If buying new, you can ask the company to do the burn off before delivery in their shop.
