Question:Cage location

I would like to know if Ekkies like being near other parrots or do they prefer a more quiet environment ( separated from other parrots).

Just concerned that noise from other birds might be overwhelming - I have a mini macaw and an IRN and a very loud half moon conure that make a pretty intense racket when they all get going.

As compared to what? The Ekkie is just as loud or louder. To a bird noise = music.

Any “new” bird in a new situation should always be introduced “slowly”. That would mean starting out at a distance.
