I know right! I couldn't resist when I saw her:smug:

She is great so far! I haven't had her too long but shes very relaxed and easy going. She is one of the giants though so she will be a big girl soon enough. The breeder took her to one of my local reptile shows and everyone was handling her and she never stuck out...just went along with the flow.

Okay, you have to forgive my lack of pet snake knowledge, but do they like people? Like are they happy to see you? Do they like to be held? I think snakes are very pretty but I know little about them as pets.

She's a reticulated python, right? Once they approach full size how big of an enclosure do these giant guys need? How long does it typically take them to get big?

Gorgeous girl too!

Thanks! She is a Reticulated Python.

I wouldn't say snuggly but she will curl up and sit with you. Mostly to steal warmth :)

She really is cute right now! She's already grown in the short amount of time I've had her thougho_O

They tolerate people and some say they show a preference for certain people. They are happy to see me when I have food:lol: I wouldn't say they enjoy my company like a dog would but they tolerate handling some more than others. Some seem to almost like coming out to explore different areas. I'm not sure they like handling exactly but most don't seem to mind it.

Yep:joyful: Her mother was only 11ft so I don't expect her to approach the 20ft range or anything. If she exceeds 15ft I think it will be surprising but you never know of course. Right now the plan is for an 8ft x 3ft cage with about 2ft of height. Sometime in the future when I own a place I would like to do a custom enclosure that takes up a wall. In her first year she should hit the 7 to 8ft mark at least. I think she may be 4ft right now and she was hatched March 9th so she's only a few months old. I'm not over feeding her though so she won't grow crazy crazy fast. She gets a meal once a week.

She is beautiful.
Thanks:D
