Hi everyone,

I noticed my GCC's poop today looked off. It's a tan/reddish color. She hasnt eaten anything new or that color today but she does have some tan/red dyed toys that she chews on. She's acting normal (eating and not lethargic). I had to go to class so I unfortunately couldn't stay to watch her. I did do the hydrogen peroxide test to see if her poop bubbled (apparently if there's blood then it bubbles) and I did not notice bubbles either time I tried it.

I attached a photo of her poop. I would like opinions as to whether her poop looks like blood.

Thanks

Not blood. Blood is either bright red or black in poop. Does she eat colored pellets?

That's good to hear. No, she eats natural pellets. She has been chewing on toys that are dyed, though (like the paper fingertrap toys and a dyed loofah toy).

I would try taking away the dyed toys and see if it clears.
