Poor sunny

my poor sunny is going back to the vet tomorrow. She has started sneezing and making other strange noises. Now she is in the middle of a molt so I don’t know if it’s that or if she getting sick again, but I don’t want to take a chance

Just a thought- if it is an infection.- is she on probiotics? My cockatiel Sunny had frequent bacterial infections. We'd give him antibiotics and probiotics and a couple months later, he'd get sick again. My vet thought he just had a weakened immune system due to age (and I think years of poor diet before we got him). So after discussing it with my vet, we decided to just keep him on probiotics. I know it's not normally recommended to keep birds on them but it made a huge difference for Sunny. He went from being sick multiple times a year to once every two years or so. It might be something to talk to your vet about.

Oh no! Poor Sunny is right. I hope it's just molt related.

Update on sunny. She does not have a new infection. She has a little bit of infection left in her Nares that we just didn’t get rid of and the doctor said to keep going on her nare drops and that her lungs still sound great , her fecal smear came back good. she just has a more bacteria than what he wanted in her nares. He said overall she’s a healthy girl though
