You know him best of course, but I would want bloodwork and possibly cultures if I was in your position.
Gram stain is waiting to be read by the vet tomorrow. They saved some for a culture if it’s abnormal. I’ll run the idea of bloodwork by my vet tonight. Thank you for your valued input!

Does the eye still have a film on it? I wonder if they can culture a swab from it, since it's the primary symptom.

No, the film is gone from the older affected eye. The current eye is 90% open today and it’s clear and he can see.

That's good. I still might want something other than fecal cultures, though, since eye stuff is commonly part of a respiratory infection.

Yes, but that's only a guess. Like I said though, you know him best and I'm sure you'll give him excellent care.

I upset Jackson by using the shark which has jammed up royally. The nutriberries pile did it in. It was a job for the shopvac!

How's he doing today besides being upset by the Shark?

Oh gosh, what a roller coaster catching up on this thread. So glad he seems to be doing better (even if the Shark isn't!). I also had no idea he was 25 (wow!), nor had I heard his voice before...:heart: so precious! I hope he continues on the up and up!

I’ve brought lscoot to the vet, we are waiting for her. I left him sleeping peacefully at home. He’s the same as last night. Was eating okay this morning. He especially likes his crisp romaine. Thanks for asking.

Thanks Coco! He’s maintaining. I need to check his weight. Today he was just bent on biting my hand if I put it in his cage!

The gram stain came back awesome the vet said. No gram negative and not one yeast bud. Just gram positive rods and cocci. He had an appointment Friday.
