Pictures Plum head baby

I have a new member of my family...a baby female plumhead! My husband surprised me with her for my bday. It’s been years since we brought a new bird home so this is very exciting!

Her name is Lunatic aka Luna (because she bites... a lot lol).

I haven’t seen many plum heads and could use any info and stories on them, what they love to eat, favorite toys, etc.

Luna came from Craigslist from a couple trying to rehome all of their birds that had minimal handling so we are going to have to work on taming her. Other than that she’s beautiful and too young for the lavender head to show yet, but it’ll be exciting to see that as she matures.

I’ll post a ton of pics when I get home so get ready to be overloaded on plumhead cuteness.

It’s pretty fun having a baby in the home again. (Although Bowser is still THE baby lol)

He saw me feed her (whose new name is Cactus Blossom now because I have kids and they LOVE that name lol) and kept saying “is that good?” Over and over lol. So of course he got to try some new mash too.

Here’s some more pics of her being adorable. She flew to my desk right onto my salad lol. She came to me with clipped wings but she seems to be flying fairly well already with the opportunity. (Her wings won’t be clipped.)
