JoJo is getting creative.

Chickie did 10 flights tonight, one was voluntary. She's lost some weight but I can't get a morning weight on her. She won't come out of the cage in the mornings before she has had breakfast!

I worked with some of my red-bellies to identify and name colors. They were young and had fun with that although one of them would walk away and just eat the pieces of treats that the other two had dropped. Very smart...why work for it when you can collect the leftovers. Now when I work with my red-bellies and try to reward they generally just take the treats and throw them at me and sometimes laugh. They are very silly but we play a game where I give them a ball and they throw it to me and I catch it so they are possibly generalizing that behavior. I also think that most of the time my red-bellies seem to prefer praise or being petted even though they like the treats.

Very smart! I'll have to use praise because he's totally not food motivated.
