He is resting now, he drank more water (with vitamins) too.

he won't take the baby formula or anything.... should i try to feed him those itty bitty pellets or keep trying the baby formula?

at least he is still drinking water, i just saw him drinking some and the water has vitamins in it...

What kind of pellets are you feeidng him?

And is it possible you can feed him some seed for a while, to help build some energy up?

I gree to feed probiooptics and a bit of vitamins, in his water. But you'll have to be sure to change his water every couple of hours if he has probiotics on his food and vitamins in his water.

I'm very sorry that your baby is so sick. Ginger had a good idea about asking your vet if he could call an avian vet for a consultation. Also, you do need to get food into him. He needs the fuel to keep fighting the illness. In order to perk him up so he will feel more like eating, you could try putting a few drops of Karo syrup into water and feeding him with a syringe. The only possible downside to that, would be if he has a fungal or yeast infection the sugar gives it sustenance.

Can you look down his throat to see if he has any whitish spots? He's so tiny, but try to smell his breath - if it smell like garbage you are most likely (not for sure) looking at a yeast infection. Put a drop or two of apple cider vinegar in his water, which will help with a fungus or yeast.

I hope Pinoccho's eating for you by now. Give him anything he'll eat. It's more important to just get calories into him at the moment than it is to worry about where they're coming from. Maybe he'd eat the pellets soaked in juice and warmed up?

He looks better today.
Thank goodness...

He is eating too! YAAAYY

I guess the antibiotics are working after all...
I'll keep at it, he is eating and drinking and doesn't seem as lethargic today.

He is supposed to be on antibiotics for a week, so I hope by then he will be all better!

That's great news. It usually takes 48+ hours for one to see the effects of antibiotics. Don't let down on your supportive care. Keep it up for a few days after the antibiotics are finished to make sure he won't relapse.
