I think i may have accidentally caused events that are going to lead to all three of my babies to die tonight... I left an unattended pan of oil on my kitchen stove and i am not sure if it overheated enough to kill them, but it did smoke quite a bit... i have no emergency vet in my area that takes birds and i have no vehicle to get to any in another town what do i do????

Get your birds out of that house into fresh air (Put them in your car if you have to). Then ventilate that place well. There is not much a vet can do other than some oxygen in a tent. If they are still alive in 24 hours they'll probably be fine.

I'm so sorry this happened. John is right there is not much that can be done other than to put them into and O2 box to help clean out their lungs and help any damage heal. Keep that clean air coming.

Take them to avian vet and get them into O2box for awhile.

I over heated some oil the other day. Just a little smoke in a stainless steel pan (no Teflon). I quickly aired the house and all the birds were fine. They weren't in the kitchen anyway. Hope your fids will be ok.

I had some crumbs in the oven and didn't check that, turned on the oven and the crumbs started burning so there was smoke. I turned on the vent above the stove, opened windows, moved an air purifier into the kitchen and set it on high. All turned out OK.
Hope that all is well with your birds.
