What kind of hutch type contraption thingy would anyone suggest? It would need to be large enough for a patty quaker and jenday. Dont worry I wont be putting the patty with the other nut jobs I would put a divider in the thing but I dont want to use just a regular cage. I want something permanent in my back yard after I move to washington that has both shelter and an open area...if any of that makes sense

if your talking about a wooden 'hutch' to be permanent outside, its probably not a good idea because the birds you listed are wood chewers and any wood you give them to be put it they may chew but it will also get battered by the elements (warp, rot, etc) while if you use wood that would be fine for outside its probably treated in some form which is also really really bad for them.

Your best bet would be to use a regular cage or spend a little money and build a "safe" aviary out of wire.

Do you mean something like a suspended aviary?

If so, you can buy them or build one yourself, they are pretty easy.
