1 of my orchids bloomed over the weekend, the bud was huge. Does anyone know what type of orchid this is? My dad got them all from a person that he works with/is good friends with, for free, she said she had too many so she gave me some of them. Here is one of them, the others are not blooming yet, but will be in the next few months (they already have flower buds on them). Thanks, Victoria

I'm pretty sure it's white Phaleanopsis. Butterfly or moth orchid. They're good for beginners, supposedly. My Dendrobium have maintained foliage better. I think I'm an orchid disaster.
I really envy you! They are so pretty!

I love Phals! Mine hasn't bloomed since last summer - for some reason it likes summertime - but it was nice to surprise my best friend with Orchids to wear in her hair on her wedding day.
