:facepalm:i gave the fids a bit of pumpkin bread that I made before realizing it had nutmeg in it. The loaf of bread had 1/4 tsp of nutmeg and the birds got about two bites at most before I took it away. I hear it's toxic for greys but what about conures??

Is an EV needed? They are acting normal right now.

:( I'm super worried.

  • Nutmeg - this spice contains a narcotic called myristicin, while not usually a problem for humans as we only eat tiny quantities at a time; a bird that consumes nutmeg, suffers from dizziness, nausea, and vomiting.

well, I learned something today! I never knew that about nutmeg and birds.
I have an ancient container and only use it in eggnog and I don't even buy eggnog every christmas.
