I finally remembered to purchased some today. I don't think I've ever eaten swiss chard in my entire life.
Can the whole thing be offered (leaves and stalk?) or must I remove a certain part? TIA.:)

Rinse it very very well first... then just stick it in the cage! :) Lola loves to shred the thick parts of the stem and she eats the leafy greens. The budgies also nibble the leafy greens as well :dance4: They loooove it!!

Hahaha, Chard is sooo yummy for people, steamed and peppered with a little butter.
But for the birds I just tear it up and mix it in to other foods like veggies mixes or sometimes I toss it in an omelet for them :)
We are working away at a head of Kale right now, LOL Prudence likes it raw, Penny and Peaches preffer it warmed or steamed. Picky buggers!
